Philanthropy and Awareness-Based Systems Change

The philanthropic sector is undergoing a period of intense reflection. There’s a growing awareness that well-intentioned efforts can sometimes perpetuate harm, despite the best of intentions.

The sector has an opportunity to reinvent itself: we can continue to use the thinking that created the problem to solve it - or we can be guided by a fresh shift in logic.

When systems unravel, they bring us to the brink of pivotal choices. The Saville Foundation believes that the most important part of the journey of life-long learning is learn secrets for self - and societal realisation from the natural world that sustains us. Imagine there was a way for us to reinvent our social systems using the self-organising principles of nature...

Futures Thinking in Action

The Biomatrix theory was developed in the context of an interdisciplinary PhD programme hosted by the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa.

Its core members represent the disciplines of biology, biomedical engineering, medicine, public health, technology development, education, art, psychology, futurism and business management.

In partnership with the Biomatrixweb, The Saville Foundation is launching a collaboration for the re-design of the ethos of the philanthropy sector.

We look forward to galvanising our ecosystem through our shared mission of igniting global awakening.
